As we near closer to the end of semester 1, the less I can actually complete practically inside of college other than my essays. Today we had the world skills live event on the projector and continue to work on any projects and outstanding work. I decided to de-mould some of my silicone pieces, powering each step of the way before then doing a trial practice on each other. Unfortunately, when working with such a small piece like a bullet entry wound it’s quite hard to make a small, simple piece look more complex and detailed. The photo below is an image of my application and colouring of my prosthetic piece.

A bullet would prosthetic applied to my arm

From today’s session, I feel that I wasn’t as productive as I could have been however, I do think that as we end the semester with mainly written work and waiting for special effects products to set it is quite hard to feel like you’ve made progress at times. I do think that the work I did complete was good quality and that if I were to improve anything, I would play around with blood a little more to give my bullet entry wound a little more realism and grit of the piece.

By this time next week I expect to be 85%-90% there with my Unit 25 project and 50% along with my Unit 22 stage craft essay.
